Verbal SMS consent procedure
Updated October 13, 2026
Pre-launch procedure, version bloomrel-service-sms-v1. Publication documents the intended process; it is not evidence of a completed opt-in or an active SMS service.
Scope
Only Bloomrel’s own non-promotional service messages are covered. Permission is specific to the recipient, confirmed number and purpose. Permission for a demo update is not permission for other businesses’ messages or marketing.
What we ask during the call
The representative confirms the mobile number and reads the following script, replacing the bracketed purpose with only the relevant option: “your requested demo confirmation and changes” or “your Bloomrel account and service notifications, including call-summary alerts”.
Would you like Bloomrel to send text messages to [confirmed mobile number] about [specific purpose]? Message frequency varies with your requests and account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, or email support@bloomrel.com. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. Our SMS terms are at bloomrel.com/sms-terms and our privacy policy is at bloomrel.com/privacy. Would you like me to read these details or give you time to review them? Do you agree to receive these texts from Bloomrel?
How the answer is handled
Wait for an explicit affirmative answer after the disclosures. Silence, an unclear answer, a website inquiry, caller ID or agreement to a phone call is not SMS consent. For “no” or an unclear answer, do not enroll or send a confirmation text; use the agreed alternative contact method.
Illustrative conversation, not a customer record
Representative: reads the complete script for demo updates and confirms the number.
Customer: “Yes, I agree to receive Bloomrel texts about my requested demo at that number.”
Representative: “Thank you. You can withdraw permission at any time.”
Required private record before sending
The operator must record the confirmed number, customer or account reference, specific purpose, date and time, script version, exact affirmative answer, representative and call reference in the private account record. Missing or ambiguous evidence means no send. This procedure does not require or authorize recording audio; any call recording needs its own applicable disclosure and consent. Withdrawals must be recorded and checked before further messages.
Planned enrollment confirmation
After approval and a recorded opt-in, the first message identifies the program: “Bloomrel: You opted in to [specific purpose]. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. support@bloomrel.com”. This is sample copy, not a sent message.
Activation checks
Before enabling SMS, Bloomrel must verify consent storage and sender checks, STOP suppression, HELP responses and an authorized end-to-end test. Automatic sending remains off until those checks and provider verification are complete. See SMS terms and privacy.
